This story may have a strong whiff of conjecture about it but we'll go with it nonetheless. Besides with Christopher Nolan 'godfathering' (we're still not sure what that entails exactly, will he need to be present for the film's box office baptism???) and David Goyer penning the script, things are looking up for the long-mooted Superman reboot. But who's going to don those iconic red and blue tights? Well, none other than Mad Men's Don Draper, that's who!

If we're to believe reports coming out of TMT (we're a trusting bunch here) then the so-handsome-it-should-be-made-illegal Jon Hamm is the frontrunner to play the Man of Steel.

It's a good fit. Hamm's never more than a pair of specs away from actually being Clark Kent (at least in the looks department). But would he be able to pull off the heroics? Regardless, according to TMT's 'source', Warner Bros are "seriously considering" Hamm for the part.

One doubts whether Nolan has even had time post-Inception to start the casting process in earnest but names keep cropping up in connection with Supe's latest venture. Zach Levi, TV's Chuck, and True Blood's Joe Manganiello are also lobbying for the role by all accounts.
