Bond inks for Dragon Tattoo remake
Phew! Good thing this gig came along for Daniel Craig otherwise 007 himself would have been scrounging around for work! Probably. Well, not really at all as Her Majesty's bezzie mate is busy shooting Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens and now has another, potential franchise to look forward to! Yes, with Bond on ice for now, Craig has signed up for David Fincher's redo of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo slated for a December 21, 2011 bow.
Craig will be fleshing out the role of journo-turned-private-dick, Mikael Blomkvist in the Millennium trilogy. With three novels penned by the late Stieg Larsson, it's safe to say that Craig will be able to pay the bills in the foreseeable future. Deadline Hollywood were the first on the scene here but can only hazard a guess as to who might take up the much-coveted role of computer hacker, Lisbeth Salander (played by the incredible Noomi Rapace in the original trilogy).
Kristen Stewart, Rooney Mara (The Social Network), Ellen Page, Carey Mulligan and Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) seem to be the leading lights attracting Fincher with Mulligan still hotly tipped.
